LAMPREY EELS

Lamprey are jawless fish, with the adults featuring a toothed, funnel-like sucking mouth.
While most species of lamprey are non-parasitic, some bore into the flesh of other fish to suck their blood. They will generally only attack humans if starved.
They live mostly in coastal and fresh waters in most temperate regions, except Africa.

CANDIRU FISH

Tiny parasitic catfish, Candirus feed on other fish by swimming into their gills but can attack humans by swimming into the urethra.

A well-known yet rare case documented in 1997 detailed how a Candiru swam out of the Amazon river and up into a man's urine stream, where it went into his urethra. It then tried to feed on the man's blood and tissue but eventually died.

Candiru live in the Amazon and Orinoco rivers.
